    Wow thank you for your video. I suffer from IBS, and of course migraine, which is in my family. The vertigo starts first, I can’t move, then the migraine starts. I do eat a lot of chocolate, I think that may be the trigger, I will try and cut it down. Thank you again for the video, it has helped a lot.

    That is the worse intro esp for people with hyperacusis

  • @BolsaChicaRadio
    @BolsaChicaRadio Місяць тому

    As a person with Hyperacusis, since May of 2013, AND being in the radio broadcast media & sound reinforcement industry, my entire life career, until I had no choice but to retire at age 57, one should be able to fully sense, that this production piece is CLEARLY made for information purposes, for the persons who DO NOT have Hyperacusis. Hence, when the video is being edited & the soundscape additives are being laid in, it's going to come across more like a Hollywood feature film trailer, with all the BOOMS, ZAPS, POWS & WIZ-BANG sound effects to catch the (normal) listener's attention with intensity, for such purposes of public awareness of the condition and/or the asking of charitable contributions for continued support for the research of the condition. I am saying this ALL from first hand BLASTOID & BLOWTORCH experience. People need to know about Hyperacusis & it's ultra life changing experience it has on those who contract it. But, those ALREADY WITH Hyperacusis, may find much better solace being a part of a support group system with those of kindred condition, rather than trying to gleem information (that most certainly already know about) from these highly produced, Public Service/Awareness Productions. I don't mean to sound off like I am coming off too "harsh", for lack of a better term, but after living day in & day out with this condition for over 11 years now, we have NO OTHER CHOICE, to consider such, if you still plan to live in this world, because unfortunately, it has no consideration to conform to us, but somehow, we must learn to live in the world we were birth in, or else we shall become our own secluded castaways, on an island, that is void of any other human relation. The choice is up to us. And with the right choice, we shall prevail... BolsaChicaRadio (Anthony Ochoa) Ventura, CA

    I have read a lot about ways to improve noise intolerance but has anyone found any help with the immense pain? I related to the ice pick stabbing with loud noises and the hot molten metal he described. It feels like a steel ball that has been in the fire is pushing against my ear all the time. My own voice hurts to the point that I can't even whisper before the pain is intolerable. I miss talking to my family. I am learning sign language but not many people sign. It is debilitating, to say the least. It is so nice to know that other people are going through this as well. People think I'm crazy,

    My husband went through head & neck cancer. Treated at MDA in Houston in 2007 w 30 rounds of radiation to the neck, mouth and shoulder area. All was good for many years, until 5 years ago when he started w tingling and dropping things out of his hands. Here we are in 2024, and lost the use of both arms due to “Delayed effects of radiation”. Also, the flap that he needs to swallow stopped working and now on a feeding tube.He’s had so many terrible effects from the radiation. His dental work has cost us thousands of $$ over the years. He had to medically retire from his job. No help from anyone. They say his case is “RARE” and they have no answers. He’s had several surgeries to clean out the scar tissue from radiation from 2007 and no results. Anybody out there w the same issues?

My family didn't believe me even after showing them all the hypercusis stories on hyperacusis central and being diagnosed by a doctor with it. I tried 3 times to kill myself but just damaged my brain worse. I am dead, suffering 24/7 with NO HOPE at all. Doctors do not know anything and don't believe me. I have constant pressure in the top sides and back of head. I lay in bed all day all night, can not sleep. I would welcome death but God must hate me.

    I CURED my own Hyperacusis ! I also caused it. The thing that CURED it for me is COFFEE. The thing that caused it was alternative forms of caffeine such as: ( Energy drinks, Pre workouts, caffeine in capsule / pill form, Organic or regular caffeine added to anything is all bad ). For me there is a connection to Vasoconstriction VS Vasodilation. So basically for me COFFEE causes vasoconstriction which instantly cures my Hyperacusis. And other forms of caffeine causes a vasodilation, which builds a pressure or fullness within my ears. Drinking a lot of water also seemed to worsen the problem. Hope this helps someone who may have the same issue and doesn't realize why. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” JOHN 8:32

    Very interesting Test! I feel like I can hear equally in each year. This is DESPITE having had an audiogram that said I lost hearing in my R ear to 55-65 db across the range of frequencies. I have thought since the "onset event" in which I ALSO got BLARING tinnitus with the hearing loss -- that some of the loss of hearing is due to the "fullness" and tinnitus masking. I have another audiogram in 5 weeks to test my hearing. in the mean time I've had 4 Intratempanic steroid shots in my R ear. I want to some hearing has improved but again, it could be because of dips in the "fullness" feeling in my ear and tinnitus also not as pronounced. I had extreme neck pain for about a week prior to my hearing loss event. I have no had an MRI of my brain which revealed no cochlea damage, no noted nerve damage, and no other abnormalities. So I am hopeful that I can find medical practioners who will focus on the neck and be able to solve that issue. I should note that in July 2019 I also had sudden onset hearing loss + tinnitus. Which I had thru Dec 2021 until I had a foraminotomy and disectomy to remove a herniated disc -- and I woke up and all my hearing was returned as well as the tinnitus gone. I have a cervical MRI tomorrow to check the spine. I have some tingling my 3rd-5th digits, I'm dropping a lot of things, and I also have shooting pains down my left leg (Lumbar cause I'd think) as other symptoms. Hopeful for answers soon. But this test would also support the MRI and other ENT related tests that seem like no real issue with my cochlea or related nerves. As the hearing for this test seems equally bilateral.

    I had 1 parathyroid removed a few years ago, my calcium level was high. I felt sooo much better after the surgery. I was no longer tired and could concentrate and remember things. Now another parathyroid has to come out, dr is supposed to call me tomorrow with a date. I’m praying for the same results. My scar is not noticeable at all, I was concerned about it only because I have keloid skin. There are some silicon patches and ointment sold on Amazon that the 1st surgeon recommended. It worked for me..

      hi, I didn’t have any stomach issues at all. I seriously felt like a new person after the surgery. As of now I only have 1 parathyroid and praying that one doesn’t have to come out. In 2018 or 2019, I had 1 removed. 2023 I thought they were taking out one and so did the surgeon, he told my family it was huge. After the pathology report came back, they realized 2 parathyroid’s had joined together.

    Thank you for sharing some of your story, Leah. Reading a couple of the comments, I just have to roll my eyes at how….icky people can be. Glad your surgery went well and hope you are enjoying the married life. I need a bilateral neck exploration surgery, as my glands have yet to be found. Having a 4D CT in a couple of days, and it’s the last of the scans. The surgeon I met with seems competent, and is encouraging surgery sooner rather than later (secondary osteoporosis since 32 years old). I’m very scared. She works in a hospital where the nurses have been on strike for two months. I didn’t know this when I met with her. So, not really certain if I’m going to go through with it (with that doctor), as tensions are now very high at the hospital. It’s just not an ideal situation. Hopefully you are feeling great now! Completely understand why you would be worried about scarring at the time. Much different to go through this when you’re young and gorgeous - and have a wedding to look forward to. From my vantage point, I can’t even see the incision.
